11^th August 2010. – At the territories of the municipalities of Prnjavor and Derventa is in progress the contest for election of the best photo of the „water bloom“ in the phase of swarming, a phenomenon at the River Ukrina. The contest, which has been announced within the project called „Protection of the water bloom, unique phenomenon at the River Ukrina“ will last till the end of August and the authors of the best three photos will be awarded. „The first prize is 1.000 KM, the second 500 KM and the third 300 KM“, said the director of the Tourist organization of Prnjavor Nada Živković and added that for the purpose of protection of that river phenomenon had been announced a public invitation for making of two final exam papers, one graduate work and one scholarly work.

7^th August 2010. – Till the end of 2010. 2.234 families will be housing provided, 1.124 by moving into the housing units and 1.110 by giving non-returnable resources for finishing of housing objects under construction, informed Ristović. Five families of the killed soldiers and war military invalids from Lopare and Ugljevik have new roof over their heads from Friday.

5^th August 2010. – The places of works on modernization of the streets Vojvode Sinđelića and Nikola Tesla were visited by the Head of the Municipality Prnjavor M.A. Darko Tomaš,and on that occasion he pointed out that the local power would fulfill given promise and invest that year at the territory of the city a million marks for building of infrastructure and at the rural area three million of convertible marks.

2^nd August 2010. – Sandra Hasanbašić, from Slovakia, born in Banja Luka, was chosen in Prnjavor in the final competition of 16 girls for Miss of Diaspora for Miss of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2010. by which she united direct participation in final evening of competition for Miss of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Miss of the world as well, which will be held in September.  The first runner-up of Miss of Diaspora for 2010. is Samra Osmić and the second Selma Karahasanović.
