August 31^st, 2010 – Before a new academic year has started, M.Sc. Darko Tomaš, the Mayor of the Municipality of Prnjavor has met with the Principals of both elementary and secondary schools and they have had a conversation about the present problems. ‘The Principals have apprised me of problems they are encountering. Some of those problems will be solved for sure, and some were being solved by both sides during last academic year’, said Mayor Tomaš.

August 31^st, 2010 – During academic year 2010/2011, Secondary school students in Prnjavor will be attending class in two newly equipped classrooms, which will be for the purpose of special activities. One classroom will represent an ecological laboratory. ’Our school participates in a project, EU VET 3 (European Union Vocational Education and Training Programme). Last year, we had enrollment for the occupation of technician of ecology, and the European Commission took care of making the ecological classroom equipped’, explained Suzana Švraka, the principal of the Secondary school.

August 30^th, 2010 – Yesterday in a session in Kulaši the Presidency of the Organization of the Families of Killed Soldiers and Disappeared Civilians of Republic of Srpska agreed on the way of commemorating the International Day of the Disappeared on August 30^th. This date will be properly commemorated in St. Nicholas’s Monastery in the Ozren Mountain. The central celebration will be held in Sarajevo.

August 25^th, 2010 – M.Sc. Darko Tomaš and Momčilo Zeljković, Mayors of Municipalities of Prnjavor and Čelinac, respectively have visited a section of a local road route, leading to settlements of Subići and Ćorići, of which construction has started today. The road route connecting these two municipalities encompasses Municipalities of Čelinac and Prnjavor area in 1.100 and 500 meters respectively. ‘The initiative for the construction has been taken by citizens, and the Municipality of Čelinac has supported it. The citizens raised 20.000 BAM for the section in Čelinac, and the Municipality fund would take care of the rest. Total price is 110.000 BAM’, said Momčilo Zeljković, Mayor of the Municipality of Čelinac.
