Sports activities occupy significant places in social life of people from Prnjavor and the successes of the clubs and the sportsmen (sportswomen) contributed that Prnjavor could be heard for even in international circles. Sport is also very popular at young people and great number of them is training at some of Prnjavor’s clubs but there are also a great number of recreation persons who are engaged in sports activities by their own. Several sports organizations that can praise themselves on several decades long tradition, on their organization and enviable results have been registered at the territory of Municipality. As leaders of sports activities can be set a side the clubs that are members of Sports association of the Municipality Prnjavor and they are: Football club “Ljubić” and the other clubs that are members of the city’s sports associations (unions) at the level of Republic of Srpska or Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sports association of Municipality Prnjavor gathers clubs from different types of sports and it is the largest sports organization at the territory of Municipality. The Sports association of Municipality Prnjavor originates from the association established in 1990. and the existing association reactivated its work after the war at the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, exactly on sixth June 1996.
